Description

Royal standard to be displayed on vehicles carrying Their Majesties the King, the Queen, the Prince or Princess of Asturias (i.e. the crown prince or princess). Square purple flag 60 cm wide. [The coat-of-arms has the same size (not counting the Golden Fleece collar) as the national arms on the ministers' flag, which measures 2/5ths of the hoist.]

Detail of the coat-of-arms (lesser royal arms) on the royal standard for use on army vehicles. Note that, unlike on the naval royal standard, this arms only show the territorial arms (Castile, Leon, Aragon, Navarre and Granada) instead of the whole dinastical arms. Note also that the inescutcheon lacks the red bordure of the Anjou dynasty, thus being the arms of France (Azure three fleurs-de-lys Or).
